Yewon Seo, documentary filmmaker and art director.
Born in South Korea and now based in Germany, I move between two worlds that touch, overlap, and sometimes collide.

My work emerge at the margins, where migration, precarity, and gender leave visible and invisible traces. From these experiences I create images that do not simply document, but open spaces of resonance. Between documentary and poetry, I search for a cinematic language that keeps memory in motion rather than fixing it. Hands, gestures, voices become fragments that weave together without closing in.

My films do not promise belonging, but strive to enable encounter, a cinema that offers not answers, but the sharing of questions.
